Privacy Policy for LastPuff

This Privacy Policy describes how LastPuff (“we”, “us”, “our”, or the “App”) handles your information. We built LastPuff to help you quit smoking and manage stress, and we take your privacy seriously.

The short version: everything you log stays on your device. We do not have servers that store your personal data, we do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Information you provide directly

When you use LastPuff, you may create or enter the following:

Quit plan details: your chosen plan type (cold turkey, taper, or track-only), start date, baseline cigarettes per day, cigarettes per pack, currency, and cost per pack.
Reasons for quitting: the categories you select (e.g. Health, Family, Money).
Puff logs: timestamp, trigger category, and optional text note.
Craving logs: timestamp, intensity (1–5), whether you resisted, and optional text note.
Mood check-ins: timestamp, mood level (1–5), and optional text note.
Breathwork session counts.
Achievement, XP, and streak progress.

1.2 Information we do not collect

LastPuff does not collect:

Your name, email address, phone number, or other identifying contact information.
Your precise location or GPS data.
Photos, microphone audio, or camera input.
Contacts, calendar, or other data from your phone.
Health or fitness data from Apple Health or HealthKit.
Advertising identifiers (IDFA).

1.3 Information collected automatically by third parties

Apple App Store / StoreKit: when you start a free trial or subscribe, Apple processes the transaction. We do not see your payment details. Apple provides us with anonymous, aggregated subscription status (active, expired, in trial). See Apple’s Privacy Policy.
Apple Push / Local Notifications: notifications are scheduled locally on your device by iOS. We do not run a notification server.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you log only on your device to:

Calculate your streaks, XP, achievements, and money saved.
Display your charts, history, and stress-vs-cravings insights.
Schedule local reminders (morning motivation, mood check-in, streak protection, smart trigger warnings, milestone celebrations) if you’ve enabled them.
Determine your subscription status to unlock LastPuff Pro features.

We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any third-party purpose.

3. Where Your Data Is Stored

All logs, settings, achievements, and progress are stored locally on your device using Apple’s standard UserDefaults storage. This data:

Never leaves your device unless you explicitly back it up via Apple’s iCloud Backup (which is encrypted and managed by Apple — not us).
Is removed when you delete the app or use the in-app “Reset everything” option.

We do not operate servers that hold your personal information.

4. Third Parties

LastPuff uses the following third-party services:

We do not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, crash reporters, or any other tracking software.

5. Your Choices and Rights

You can at any time:

Turn off notifications in the in-app Settings > Notifications, or in iOS Settings > LastPuff > Notifications.
Reset all data in the in-app Settings > “Reset everything”.
Delete the app to remove all local data permanently.
Cancel your subscription in your Apple ID Settings > Subscriptions.

Because we do not collect personal data on our servers, requests under GDPR, CCPA, or similar laws (right of access, right of deletion, right to portability) are honored automatically by your device-level controls above.

6. Children’s Privacy

LastPuff is not directed at children under 17. We do not knowingly collect information from children. The App Store age rating reflects this.

7. Data Security

We follow standard iOS development practices, including storing your data in the system-managed sandbox of your device. Because we do not transmit your logs over the network, there is no server-side data to breach. Your subscription status is verified via Apple’s secure StoreKit framework.

No system is ever 100% secure, so we encourage you to keep your device updated and to use a passcode or biometric lock.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy (for example, if we add cloud sync in a future version), we will update the “Last updated” date above and notify you within the app before the new version takes effect.
